First of all, I would like to wish, Happy Birthday, to Liisa. Then, it is a good idea to make a performance, but have you thought about that giving her more personal gift? You should give her something memorable. Also maybe you should talk to her husband and ask some present advice from him. In my opinion, if she would be your friend or other relative of your family, you should give her just a bar of chocolate or earrings, necklace in general. Anyways, your mother is against your idea, because she think the older generations wouldn’t like a dance performance, they would think it is too much for a birthday present. Actually, all people are happy, if they are surrounded by their friends and relatives who they love. I hope you will make something special for her.
