I think you shouldn't let the kids you babysit watch the TV at all, if they are constantly arguing about it. You could also teach them to take turns over which channel they watch, thought I don't completely agree with them watching PG channels, since they don't just rate them PG for no reason. Make sure to ask the parents about the kids watching these channels, or you could get into serious trouble.
If you are so worried about them getting hurt, try taking them out for a walk instead to visit a playground nearby or try playing tag or hide and seek with them in the house. You can also make up fun activities to do at home with young children, or google some!
