A feladat így szól:
We are becoming too dependent on our digital devices
In the modern world, we are becoming too dependent on our digital devices. Wherever I go out and wherever I look at people and see them walking, waiting for the bus, or travelling on the underground, everyone has a smartphone in their hand. Our whole lives can be squeezed into this little device. True, you can do several things with your phone. You can chat with your friends, read news, book a flight, gamble, do the shopping, watch a movie, transfer money and so many other things. It is hard to imagine how our lives would change if suddenly all our gadgets were taken away from us.
Write a letter to the editor.
You can express your opinion based on the following statements:
-We used to memorise information, but now we use technology to look up anything
-Technology is advancing much faster than we can comprehend, so depending on it may have bad consequences
-Even places and organisations depend on technology, for example hospitals, the government, banks etc.
-Hackers can take advantage of our dependence
-The digital world is around us, we cannot escape it
-It is up to us to decide how we allow technology to take over our lives
-People still haven't been replaced by robots
-Technology is just making life easier, but it doesn't mean that we have to depend on it
-Digitalisation is not the problem. It is the way we use it.

______
Dear Editor,
I am writing to address a pressing issue in our modern society: our increasing dependence on digital devices. Everywhere I go, I observe people engrossed in their smartphones, whether they are walking, waiting for public transport, or traveling underground. While these devices offer convenience—allowing us to chat, read news, book flights, and even transfer money—they also raise concerns about our reliance on technology.
In the past, we relied on our memory to retain information, but now we often turn to our devices for quick answers. This shift not only affects our cognitive abilities but also highlights how technology is advancing at a pace that can be overwhelming. Essential services, such as hospitals, banks, and government institutions, are heavily reliant on technology, making them vulnerable to cyber threats. Hackers can exploit this dependence, leading to serious consequences for individuals and organizations alike.
While the digital world is an integral part of our lives, it is up to us to decide how we allow it to shape our existence. Technology should serve as a tool to enhance our lives, not as a crutch that we lean on too heavily. We must remember that digitalization itself is not the problem; rather, it is our approach to using it that can lead to dependency. As we navigate this digital age, let us strive for a balance that allows us to benefit from technology without losing our autonomy.
